Receipt Printing Problems



For trouble shooting receipt printer problems.

The documents most likely to be affected are:

  • Till receipt documents
  • Till refund document
  • End Of Day brief report generated via the till.
  • other documents that target your receipt printer


Documents in your BMS have to be configured to print via the receipt printer. If your documents haven't been configured yet please call support for assistance, or if you are confident you can do it yourself please do so.


If your receipt printer isn't working, try the following:

1: Turn the printer OFF. Check the power lead and USB connections to your PC. Turn the printer back on and try to print a document.

2: Check the print queue for your receipt printer in WINDOWS -> DEVICES and PRINTERS. Clear the print queue if necessary and try to print a document

3: IF you are trying to print a till receipt it may be necessary to reset your Receipt Printing Option in configuration.

Configuration -> Customisation -> Defaults on the till -> Till Drawer and Receipt Printing Enables ... making sure you select the correct document when prompted to do so.

4: Open the document you want to print in the Document editor and save the PRINT SETTINGS in 

Print -> Page / Print Settings -> Save Page Setup... making sure you select the relevant printer when prompted to do so.
